The Painterly Print : Monotype Print-making  Sampler Workshop

The monotype is a print uniquely created with paint or ink on a plate and transferred to a support. Utilizing a press, participants will prepare and paint on a plexiglass plate. By inking the plate surface with brayers and utilizing a reduction or additive technique with varied marks made by using brushes and other tools, the end result will yield a monotype work with similarities of an etched print. Participants can work from imagination or use a photo as a study.
